Silly Wabbit!
This 15th century stone structure was originally build for a rabbit keeper by monks of a nearby priory. After this point there is debate on what the lodge was used for. Some say it was a leper colony and although there is no documentation to prove this claim a ghost that haunts the building appears to give credence to the leper belief. The ghost, his body ravaged by the disease paces around the ruines and then prompty disappears.
The home appears to also have a white rabbit ghost who does nothing more than appear and hop around. He may have been a pet of the original warren because it does not appear distressed and the rabbits raised there were used as a source of meat.
