
Birth of Twins
Built in 1535 by Sir Ralph Sadleir the home has
had a varied past and has seen a lot of interesting
owners. The building was restored in the 1990's
and is now part of the National Trust.
Dog ghosts wonder throughtout the building
especially at night, when they seem to moan because they
are alone. It is believed that the dogs that appear on
the coat of armor over one of the fireplaces are the
dogs that haunt the building.
A white lady who is said to be Frances
Machell who died giving birth to twins on May 11, 1574.
People have been shaken in their beds,
sudden drops in temperature as well as slamming doors
are just some of the amazing things you will find at
