Ghosts A Plenty

Llancaiach Fawr Manor was built in 1530 on the site of an earlier medival house. This home, the most haunted in South Wales,m has candlelit ghost tours available at night.

Two children haunt the grand staircase that are usually heard and not seen but some visitors do get a glimpse of them. Guides in period costumer often find their aprons falling to the ground as the ghost children undo their aprons. Some visitors claim they feel are startled when they feel a child's hand holding their hand.

You will also find a ghost dressed in a white blouse baking bread in the kitchen and it is believed this ghost is Mattie a former cook. Her bedroom is said to be the most haunted room in the house. Even the most composed and unemotional people are often brought to tears after spending a few moments in the room.
