Rotting Ghost
Ghost sightings and paranormal activity have been reported
at this manor home since the 19th century. In the North
Wing and the correeidor between the Hall of Meredith and
the Great Chamber reports of a white or grey lady abound.
One of the rooms off of this corridor was called the Ghost
room because a female ghost was often seen in this room
accompanied by a fould odour. Although they do not know
who this woman is there is speculation that the woman was
a servant in the home when it was owned by Sir John Wynne.
It is said she was seduced by him after which he murdered
her and walled her inside one of the chimneys. The putrid
smell is said to be that of her rotting body.
