Phantom in the Night

Sir John Stawell is said to be one of the phantom ghosts that haunt the night at Avebury Manor. He lost all of his possessions including Avebury in the aftermath of the civil war and it appears he was not ready to give up his beloved Avebury, so he has stuck around to keep an eye on the place.

The second ghost is said to be a white lady, who lost her love and in dispair jumped out of one of the upper windows to her death. She hangs around the place, gliding around and moaning in dispair.

The crop circle appeared around July 27, 2005, and while no one thinks ghosts are responsible it is still abnormal and worth mentioning.
