What is an EVP?
EVP stands for Electornic Voice
Phenomena. Ghosts hunters discovered that when they video
taped or used a tape recorder to tape a ghost hunting experience
they often heard voices that went undetected by them during
the event. It seems that the audio equipment often picked
up things the human ears could not.
Ghost hunters have their individual preferences
as to what kind of equipment is used. Some just use inexpensive
tape recorders and others use more elaborate systems with
hand held microphones etc. Ghost hunters usually find that
asking the spirit questions often times improves the chances
of picking up EVP as well as trying to provoke them into
some sort of response or action.
